Castle surroundings and parks

Around the Bīriņi Castle building, a large ensemble of the former manor center has been preserved, including objects and gardens in the immediate vicinity of the Castle building, as well as extensive parks, water mills and tombs. All sightseeing spots are connected by shorter and longer park trails with benches and viewpoints.

On the first floor of the tower, an old brick well can be seen under the glass floor, as well as a model of the Water Tower, which shows how water moves from the well through the pipes. On the second floor of the Water Tower, there is a meditative water sound and light room, on the third floor – a description of history, and on the fourth floor we enter the former …

During the excursion, students will learn facts about the history of Bīriņi Manor in the context of the history of Vidzeme manors, as well as much more.
