Pentecost at Bīriņu Castle will once again be one of the first large Garden Festivals of the season, gathering around 1,500 participants. The festival opens with the Feast of the Annunciation, followed by exhibitions of artists’ works and the Zaļumballe – the Great Hit Concert, in which we are delighted by more than 20 of Latvia’s most popular hit bands. Everyone is invited to the dance floor to maintain the ancient tradition of the Pentecost Zaļumballe!
Throughout the day, you have the opportunity to go horse or pony riding, take a boat ride on the lake, dive into various crafts workshops, attractions and get strong in the outdoor café or the Castle restaurant, as well as the Dzirnavu tavern.
If you want to enjoy Pentecost away from the hustle and bustle of the concert and dancing, then get lost in the spacious Bīriņu Castle Park along the walking trails and capture the smells, sensations and perfection of summer.
In everyday life, Birini Castle is a recognized venue for weddings, banquets and seminars, and you will be served every day in the Restaurant and Hotel. A special attraction of Birini Castle is the beautiful park, terraces, walking paths and gazebos. The ensemble of historical buildings also includes a Stable with riding horses, ponies and breed rabbits, as well as an industrial heritage object – the renovated Water Tower with wind vanes.
